Lots of stuff here I'm not brave enough to say on Twitter!

I've always thought it's a little funny how some people get mad when I say COVID was an inconvenience and more mild than a cold. I was vaccinated and 33! But it's like I'm supposed to lie and say it was the hardest experience of my life.

8000 people die every day in America! Just think about that! Not all masks work! Covid will never go away! God Bless America!

My mom has parents that refused to get the vaccine maybe because of right-wing hyperbole and conspiracy theories. Several months ago, before Omicron, my family had an impromptu dinner over at their house; were told to drive over. After we arrived, we rang the doorbell, they opened up the door, then all of us awkwardly looked at them through the screen door while it was raining outside. That felt like a wall was built between us.

Months later, her parents went dancing one night and both contracted COVID; both recovered, albeit her father had it worse. Couple weeks later, my mom was able to convince them to get the vaccine, but the damage was already done. Now she does favors and sometimes delivers supplies to them.

My mom said something, not in verbatim, that aligns with your endemic perspective: "We're all going to get it eventually." While I don't 100% agree with this perspective, I did mention that this virus could evolve and happen annually like the flu; it will require an annual vaccine or two, but we won't know until months or years later.

With that said, thank you for the articles that you have written about these topics, especially ones about the Jan. 6th riots. You have earned my subscription and I greatly appreciate your insight, research, and credible sources.
